SCG Korea LLC, a subsidiary of Starwood Capital Group, is a private investment firm with a primary focus on global real estate. Since its inception in 1991, Starwood Capital Group has raised over $70 billion of capital and currently has approximately $115 billion of assets under management. Over the past 30 years, Starwood has invested in over $200 billion of assets, including properties within every major real estate asset class.

Program Description:
The Asia Investor Relations Internship Program provides individuals with a high level of responsibility and the unique opportunity to support the firm’s engagement with leading global institutional investors, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and other long-term capital providers.
Interns will work closely with the Asia Investor Relations team and gain exposure to the firm’s capital raising and investor communication efforts, partnering with senior management as well as internal investment, asset management, and finance teams. The program offers hands-on experience within a global alternative investment platform and insight into how institutional capital is raised, managed, and retained over the fund lifecycle.

The deadine for applications for this program is January 31st, 2026. The duration of the employment is a fixed term of 3 months, with an expected start date in March 2026 based on candidate’s availability.

What you will learn:
Through this internship, individuals will gain:

  • Exposure to how institutional capital raising is executed within a global alternative investment firm.
  • An understanding of how investor relations teams support communication with global institutional investors throughout the fundraising and fund lifecycle.
  • Experience preparing and tailoring investor-facing materials for different audiences.
    Insight into cross-functional collaboration across investment, asset management, finance, and compliance teams.
  • A practical foundation in the investor relations and institutional client solutions function within private markets.

What you will be doing:
Interns will support the Asia Investor Relations team across core institutional client and fundraising activities, including:

  • Preparing and maintaining investor-facing presentation materials for fundraising and senior management meetings
  • Assisting with the preparation of fundraising, due diligence, and marketing materials.
  • Supporting the drafting of periodic investor reporting, including quarterly updates.
  • Completing due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and assisting with responses to investor information requests.
  • Conducting macro and micro research on real estate markets, investment themes, and the broader fundraising environment.

The Asia Investor Relations team seeks to hire qualified candidates who are highly motivated and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, to work in a fast-paced investor relations environment. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Be fluent in Korean and English, other languages are a plus
  • Have a strong academic record

Desired Qualifications:

  • Have a demonstrated interest in real estate and finance
  • Relevant course work in business, accounting, economics, and finance is preferred
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and adapt in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with comfort working in a lean and entrepreneurial organization
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) – within all levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

To be considered for the Asia Investor Relations Internship Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be physically located in Seoul, Korea, and able to work on-site at One Grove, Magok for the duration of the program
  • Be legally authorized to work in Korea
  • Be an undergraduate or graduate student, or hold a bachelor’s degree or above
