About the position
As our Manager of UX, you will lead and support a team of designers within Splunk’s growing design organization. You and your team will build and advocate for design solutions that meet the outstanding challenges of our customers across our product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with other design leaders, product leaders, and cross-functional partners to assess which project(s) or product(s) requires design support and ensure the right talent is in place to drive successful outcomes.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
- Develop and manage a flexible resourcing strategy, ensuring design talent is effectively allocated across multiple projects based on priority and business impact
- Partner with other UX leaders and partners to assess project needs, identify gaps, and proactively adjust design support as needed
- Support hiring efforts by attracting and retaining top talent
- Review and critique deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with goals
- Mentor and coach designers, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers
- Foster a culture of collaboration and user-centered design thinking
- Work with cross-functional teams to align design efforts with business goals
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in how design work is assigned and executed
Requirements
- 5+ years of leading UX product design teams at enterprise scale organizations
- 5+ years of UX design experience in B2B across supervised industries
- Strong body of research-driven, customer-centered design work demonstrating success in meaningful business outcomes
- Proven track record to lead, mentor, and inspire teams, with a knack for encouraging creative collaboration
- Ability to drive progress and outcomes and thrive through ambiguity
- Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Adobe Suite, Miro, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
