Responsibilities     
Ryan Transportation and Shamrock Trading Corporation are looking for a Carrier Sales Intern. This 10-week sales internship position is responsible for establishing and managing a network of truckload and LTL providers within the United States and Canada. The Intern will focus on prospecting, cold calling and qualifying new carrier accounts for Ryan Transportation. An ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an outgoing, ambitious and dynamic sales personality.   
  • Solicit new carriers to join the Ryan Transportation carrier network 
  • Develop long-term relationships with shippers and carriers 
  • Build and manage existing carrier network to ensure we can meet the needs of shipping customers 
  • Continually work on improving customer service, transit times and transportation costs 
  • Coordinate logistics activity, including scheduling arrival dates and delivery appointments 
  • Track and trace orders for each load in the system and complete all load-related paperwork 
  • Learn and perform all processes from negotiation skills to building sales relationships 
  • Work directly with our Account Management team to secure capacity and provide our customers with the best service experience in the industry 
  • Refine all processes as necessary to stay in front of customers in relevant industries 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications   
  • Graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026 
  • Internship runs 6/2/25 through 8/8/25 
  • Major in business, sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, supply chain management, or economics is preferred 
  • Desire to pursue a career in sales 
  • Interest in transportation or finance industries 
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment 
  • Self-motivated and hard-working 
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent time-management and verbal communication 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) 
  • Multilingual skills are a plus
