What the role is

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Analyst Intern. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting and finance while working closely with our Accounts Payable team. The Accounts Payable Analyst Intern will assist in various aspects of the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and reconciliations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing

  • Invoice Processing:
    • Assist in the timely and accurate processing of invoices.
    • Review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
    • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
    • Ensure invoices are properly approved and coded according to company policies.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries and discrepancies.
    • Maintain vendor files and update vendor information as needed.
    • Assist in reconciling vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Payment Processing:
    • Assist in preparing payment batches for approval.
    • Verify payment terms and ensure timely payments to vendors.
    • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to facilitate efficient payment processing.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Assist in generating reports related to accounts payable metrics and performance.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
    • Support month-end close activities as required.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Participate in initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving existing procedures.

What you need for the role

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Proficient in English, any other languages are considered a plus!
    • High sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
    • Be able to provide a college agreement confirming the internship.
    • Be able to provide insurance certification.
