Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and shut down extrusion equipment producing high data rate cable components, including dielectric and jacket materials.
- Load raw materials, configure tooling, and adjust process parameters (temperature profiles, line speed, pressure, concentricity) to meet product specifications.
- Monitor extrusion processes to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and material performance in accordance with engineering and quality standards.
- Perform in‑process inspections and measurements using appropriate gauges, micrometers, laser measurement systems, and continuity or spark testers.
- Document process parameters, production results, and quality data in manufacturing execution systems (MES) or production logs.
- Troubleshoot process deviations, material issues, and equipment malfunctions; make real‑time adjustments to maintain yield and minimize scrap.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning on extrusion lines and auxiliary equipment; escalate complex mechanical or electrical issues to Maintenance or Engineering.
- Follow all safety, housekeeping, and environmental procedures, including lockout/tagout and material handling requirements.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2–4 years of hands‑on extrusion experience, preferably in wire, cable, tubing, or polymer processing environments.
- Working knowledge of thermoplastic materials commonly used in high‑performance cable applications (e.g., PE, FEP, PTFE, PVC, TPU).
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and process specifications.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments and conducting in‑process inspections.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
