The VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Technology Administrator plays a critical role in managing and supporting the digital tools, systems, and workflows that enable successful project delivery. This position serves as a technical expert for VDC platforms, ensuring users have the resources, training, and support needed to effectively leverage BIM, reality capture, collaboration, and construction technology solutions. The VDC Technology Administrator works closely with project teams, field personnel, and business stakeholders to maintain system performance, drive technology adoption, troubleshoot issues, and implement new digital solutions that improve efficiency, collaboration, and project outcomes across the organization.

Purpose of Position:
Responsible for supporting the implementation of VDC-related technologies and engaging in the development, review, and adoption of standards at the project level and team level.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all VDC/BIM Logistics.
- Research and develop tools, add-ins, scripts, automation, and workflows as assigned.
- Collaborate with VDC Coordinators on process development and implementation to enhance workflow.
- Responsible for software user setups and day-to-day hardware/software support and guidance.
- Identify, research, and resolve VDC/BIM technical problems.
- Manage, maintain, and improve VDC/BIM business processes.
- Plans, provides guidance and implements technical projects for the engineering department.
- Manage and maintain a large code base; AutoCad, Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo, Python, C++,etc.
- Help maximize efficiencies in the department.
- Content creation: Families including parametric, formula, nested, and types catalogs data.
- Manage and train various software tools/add-ins.
- Other duties as assigned
Accountability:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Prompt, punctual, and regular attendance during core business hours, in an office environment (not a telecommuting position), currently located in the Stapleton area of Denver, including a reliable means of transport to and from work. Ability to occasionally travel between corporate offices and job sites within the Denver Metro Area, during work hours.
- All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
- Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
Qualifications:
- College/University graduate preferred with 5-10 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/ Revit/Navisworks and 3-D modeling.
- Experience using web-based collaborative software, project extranets, VDC/CAD Utilities, plotting techniques, and coordination of VDC/CAD data input and output.
- Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural).
- Understanding of design and document coordination.
- Knowledge of construction nomenclature and techniques (means and methods).
- Great communication and training skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong coaching/teaching skills.
- Must be capable of adjusting to rapid changes in work conditions, rearranging priorities on short notice, and making quick decisions.
