Program Overview
The Business Systems Analyst will support enterprise analytics and modernization initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency, business intelligence, and organizational decision-making. This role works closely with stakeholders to evaluate processes, identify technology gaps, and implement analytics-driven solutions that support mission and business objectives.
Position Overview
RIVA Solutions is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with expertise in business analysis, analytics, and systems improvement. This role provides support across process analysis, strategic planning, analytics solution development, and technical implementation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate business process needs into effective technical requirements and actionable solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts, translating business process needs into technical requirements.
- Support organizational and strategic planning across a variety of technical and functional environments.
- Provide expertise in areas including Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, and Technical Analysis.
- Assist in applying industry best practices to support customer analytics and reporting initiatives.
- Use knowledge bases and conceptual business models to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting analytics solutions.
- Assess the operational and functional baseline of organizations and organizational components.
- Help define the direction and strategy for engagements while ensuring organizational needs are effectively addressed.
- Identify information technology inadequacies and deficiencies that impact organizational goals and functional performance.
- Support the development of functional area strategies for enhanced analytics solutions, data management, and reporting capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in an analytics-related field.
- Strong experience in business process analysis, systems analysis, and requirements gathering.
- Experience supporting analytics solutions, reporting, and data management initiatives.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and actionable solutions.
- Knowledge of strategic planning, configuration management, and technical analysis practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Federal government programs or contracts.
- Familiarity with enterprise analytics platforms and business intelligence tools.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project management environments.
Salary
$130,000 - $145,000
