Program Overview

The Senior Manager, Corporate IT leads RIVA's internal Corporate IT organization and is responsible for the strategy, administration, security, and day-to-day operation of the company's enterprise technology ecosystem. This role supports business operations by ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant technology services across the organization.

Position Overview

RIVA is seeking a proactive, hands-on Manager, Corporate IT to keep the company and its employees running every day. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Operations, this role owns the day-to-day administration, support, security, and continuous improvement of RIVA's Corporate IT environment, ensuring a secure, reliable, and compliant technology environment that supports the business.

This is a hands-on role that combines day-to-day technical administration with operational ownership, continuous improvement, and cross-functional partnership. The ideal candidate stays ahead of issues rather than waiting for them to arise, addressing problems before they disrupt the business, and responds quickly and pleasantly whenever employees need help. Approachable, helpful, and easy to work with, they stay close to technology, configuring, troubleshooting, documenting, and improving the systems the workforce depends on, while leveraging RIVA's existing platforms to their fullest capabilities before adding new ones. They look for ways to automate repetitive work and apply AI where it helps, and they bring a creative, resourceful approach to solving problems with the tools at hand.

The role centers on maintaining a secure, audit-ready Microsoft environment, managing endpoints and user access across their full lifecycle, writing and maintaining clear documentation, running small to medium projects, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to meet real operational needs.

Core Responsibilities

Proactive IT Operations & End-User Support
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of corporate systems, devices, and services to keep employees productive.
• Proactively monitor system health, identify root causes of recurring issues, and resolve problems before they impact the business.
• Deliver responsive, high-quality technical support, serving as the escalation point for complex issues involving endpoints, identity, collaboration platforms, and connectivity.
• Maintain a knowledge base and self-service resources to improve issue resolution and user adoption.

Help Desk & Ticket Management
• Own the corporate help desk, managing the ticket lifecycle from intake and prioritization through resolution and closure.
• Meet established service-level targets while providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely follow-up.
• Analyze ticket trends to identify recurring issues, improve documentation, automate processes, and implement permanent solutions.

Endpoint Management
• Manage the full endpoint lifecycle, including procurement, imaging, provisioning, deployment, refresh, retirement, and secure disposal.
• Maintain accurate inventories of devices, warranties, licensing, and replacement schedules.
• Configure and secure endpoints using Microsoft Intune in accordance with company security standards, including encryption, compliance policies, and baseline configurations.

Identity & End-User Lifecycle Management
• Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including provisioning, role changes, and deprovisioning in partnership with People & Culture and Security.
• Administer users, groups, licenses, and access across Entra ID, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
• Enforce least-privilege access, multi-factor authentication, conditional access policies, and timely removal of user access upon separation.

Microsoft 365, SharePoint & Collaboration Administration
• Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Slack, and related collaboration technologies.
• Manage SharePoint governance, permissions, information architecture, storage, and collaboration capabilities.
• Utilize Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power BI, to automate processes and deliver operational reporting.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management
• Maintain an audit-ready environment supporting CMMC, ISO 27001, and other corporate security and compliance requirements.
• Own the implementation and ongoing maintenance of security controls, audit evidence, vulnerability remediation, security assessments, and compliance activities supporting CMMC, ISO 27001, and other company security requirements.
• Maintain endpoint security, identity protection, monitoring, backup, recovery, vulnerability management, and incident response capabilities.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, SOPs, system documentation, configurations, and knowledge base content to ensure operational consistency, compliance, and knowledge transfer.

Project & Vendor Management
• Plan, prioritize, and deliver multiple small- to medium-sized IT projects while balancing operational support, coordinating vendors and stakeholders, and managing project communications.
• Transition completed projects into ongoing operational support with appropriate documentation and training.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Continuously improve the reliability, security, and user experience of RIVA's technology environment.
• Recommend operational improvements, technology enhancements, and modernization opportunities that improve security, reliability, automation, and the employee experience.
• Identify opportunities to automate routine work using Power Platform, scripting, AI, and existing technology investments before recommending additional solutions.
• Evaluate, pilot, and implement new technologies that improve business operations while maintaining security and compliance.

Stakeholder Partnership
• Partner with Corporate Operations, Accounting & Finance, People & Culture, Contracts, and business leaders to understand operational needs, educate stakeholders, recommend practical technology solutions, and support business objectives.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences while managing expectations and building trusted relationships.

Fiscal Responsibility
• Support the Corporate IT budget by forecasting technology, licensing, lifecycle replacement, and vendor costs.
• Help optimize technology investments by managing vendor relationships and identifying opportunities to reduce
costs without compromising capability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, policies, standards, and knowledge base articles.
  • Experience managing small to medium IT projects, coordinating vendors, implementing enterprise SaaS platforms, and supporting system integrations.
  • Experience supporting IT budgets, software licensing, vendor relationships, and technology lifecycle planning.
  • Experience supporting organizations within a government contracting environment, including those pursuing or maintaining CMMC certification.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL service management principles and IT operational best practices.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans.
