Benefits at UTA
UTA offers health insurance though either Select Health or PEHP. Health insurance starts the 1st day of the month after 30-days of employment. (1st day of the month after 60-days of employment for Operators).
UTA offers two dental insurance plans through EMI Health. Dental insurance starts the 1st day of the month after 30-days of employment. (1st day of the month after 60-days of employment for Operators).
UTA offers two vision coverage plans through Opticare of Utah.
Flexible Spending Account
UTA has an optional Flexible Spending Account for medical and dental expenses, as well as an additional program to cover dependent care costs.
UTA’s pension is an employer funded plan - an earned monthly benefit paid to the employee upon retirement. The monthly benefit amount is based on years of service and average compensation.
Why not have 2 retirement plans! UTA will match $2 of every $3 you invest up to 2% of you annual salary, and you are eligible day 1!
Retiree Medical Account
Upon their retirement, UTA Employees can utilize this benefit to pay for medical expenses.
UTA offers paid vacation days for all employees.

Advance your education with UTA Tuition Reimbursement. Courses completed during employment are reimbursed at 100% for the first $1000, and 50% after that.
UTA will contribute up to $600 a year to help employees pay for dependent care expenses.
UTA employees, their spouses and dependents under the age of 23 (still living at home) can ride on UTA buses, TRAX and FrontRunner free of charge.
Health and Wellness Center
The Health and Wellness Center is a free on-site clinic for insured employees and their dependents with no deductibles, no copays and no cost for select generic medications, lab work and diabetes testing supplies.
The PACE Wellness Program is offered to all employees and can help you qualify for a lower monthly medical insurance premium.
On-site Fitness Centers
UTA offers fitness centers at every facility to ensure employees stay fit and healthy.
Employee Assistance Program
UTA provides employees and members of their household unlimited face-to-face confidential counseling assistance for nearly any personal matter they are experiencing.
Basic Life Insurance
UTA provides employee with basic life insurance.
Supplemental Life Insurance
Employees have the option to purchase additional life insurance for themselves, their spouse and their unmarried children up to age 26.
