We are looking for a Senior Accountant (Revenue Recognition) to join our team with the responsibility to prepare and review regular financial reports and analysis in accordance with US GAAP.  Specifically, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for:
  • Complete regular close procedure by researching and reconciling receivables and revenue related balance sheet and income statement accounts for global portfolios to meet company deadlines. Review of work papers and journal entries.
  • Analyze and interpret accounts receivable and revenue GL data to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Prepare 10Q/10K supporting schedules for disclosures
  • Perform monthly financial statement fluctuation analysis.
  • Prepare and post regular journal entries.
  • Provide supporting documents for audit; Work with internal/external auditors to comply and participate in internal control walkthroughs.
  • Support/back up other accounting functions as needed.
  • Consistently document and review processes for improvement.
  • Performs other special projects as assigned.
 
What you need to be successful:
  • It is expected to execute the duties of this position a qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate and US GAAP is required.
  • Exceptional Excel skills and the ability to work effectively in all MS Office tools.
  • Experience with Yardi preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge of financial statements. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment to meet public company reporting deadlines.
  • Must be organized, detailed, flexible, efficient, and take ownership of own work product.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Public accounting experience and CPA designation are a plus.
The base salary for this role is in the range of ($82,215 - $113,169). You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, (dependent on date of hire) to be discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
