In this highly responsible and visible role, as Equity Compensation Manager you will manage all aspects of Realty Income’s global equity plans. 

What you’ll be working on day-to-day:

  • Manage the equity processes for employees in multiple countries, including RSA, RSU, and PSU grants and related vesting, releases, cancellations, and terminations
  • Track performance metrics and calculate share and dividend payout.  Verify accuracy and completeness of LTIP information.  Review and approve quarterly LTIP valuation reports.
  • Manage employee communications and education. Respond to complex questions from employees regarding equity, grants, and transactions.
  • Assist Legal in preparation of SEC filings, including Section 16 Filings (Form 3, 4, and 5)
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure proper tax withholdings
  • Process director grants and share vesting; coordinate director stock transactions with General Counsel, directors, brokers, and transfer agent
  • Reconcile monthly dividend calculations
  • Work with Legal team to manage and administer the Insider Trading List
  • Manage the preparation and distribution of year-end tax statements for all equity transactions related to domestic and international reporting.
  • Audit support for quarterly reviews, year-end audits, as well as ensuring that internal controls and procedures are in place.
  • Liaise with our Transfer Agent and brokers.
  • Coordinate effectively with the vendors to ensure accuracy of equity compensation data and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively across the organization and develop strategic partnerships with Executive Leadership, HR, Legal, and Finance Teams.
  • Manage the Trading Window (in accordance with the Insider Trading Policy).

  • Bachelor’s Degree or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  •  A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a stock administration / equity compensation role within a public company (global experience a plus)
  • Experience with U.S. federal and state taxation relating to equity compensation and general knowledge of global taxation.
  • Solid understanding of tax/accounting/legal/regulatory issues related to equity compensation programs
  • Experience using E*TRADE Equity Edge Online
  • Strong Listening and Critical Thinking skills
  • Strong understanding of global withholding, mobility, and reporting requirements
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and good judgment
  • Flexible and capable of adjusting to team and project demands; turning mid-stream when and if change occurs
