The Business Analyst, Portfolio Analytics has responsibility to maintain operational workflows, develop business intelligence and analytics tools, and produce reporting deliverables to support the company’s business decisions. These responsibilities focus on enhancing visibility into the company’s investment portfolio to enable transaction decisions and to deliver insights related to portfolio composition and Asset Management strategy.
The Business Analyst, Portfolio Analytics will be responsible for:
- Aggregating, transforming, and interpreting data from disparate sources to create reporting packages, BI dashboards, and summaries.
- Review and maintain the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of portfolio data utilized in internal and public reporting materials.
- Maintain tools that support Asset Management’s ability to efficiently operate its business function, including its forward-looking transaction pipeline.
- Support the development and deployment of business intelligence, data visualization, and financial analytics tools.
- Monitor macroeconomic, real estate, industry, and tenant trends to evaluate portfolio risk and contribute to risk mitigation strategy, including proactive divestment and lease negotiation.
- Seek out new data sources to enhance and enrich existing workflows and procedures.
- Design novel reporting solutions that revamp existing products while maintaining intended functionality.
- Identify, extract, and summarize noteworthy data for use in management commentary regarding past and future expected portfolio performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with SQL and broad understanding of relational database principles.
- Proficiency with Power BI or other BI software.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to implement technical solutions that draw on a range of methods to deal with logical complexity.
- Experience designing and deploying data reporting, data visualization, and business intelligence solutions with direct end-user collaboration.
- General proficiency with commonly used MS365 applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Algorithmic approach towards solving business problems, improving business practices, and optimizing procedures.
- Familiarity with Python or other programming language a plus.
- Strong communication skills; ability to translate complex, granular business problems into cogent, summary-level descriptions for diverse audiences.
- Attention to detail, demonstrated through highly accurate work product.
- Highly analytical mode of thinking that balances creativity and organization when problem-solving.
- Energetic intellectual curiosity with penchant for learning and expanding knowledge set.
- Highly adaptable to evolving business needs.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships across the organization.
- It is anticipated the level of knowledge and experience needed to adequately perform the duties of the position would be gained from a bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field and up to 2 years of work experience from a professional or academic setting.

The hourly rate for this role is in the range of ($30.08 - $44.47). You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, (dependent on date of hire) to be discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
