The primary function of the Lease Abstraction Specialist is to manage data integrity and updates of changes to the company’s vast portfolio of properties. This involves maintaining the databases of all property and lease information.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain Yardi Commercial Management which includes:
    • Review, confirm, abstract, and input property and lease information in timely manner for acquisitions and property status changes.
    • Maintain time sensitive and accurate input of tenant change notices and billing information.
    • Create and maintain clear, concise records of audited checklists and manage internal notification as appropriate.
    • Uphold Yardi database accuracy with notice address, property address, tenant payments methods, and other data points.
  • Complete initial review of newly acquired properties and accurately complete data transfer into Yardi in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Yardi testing and upgrades as needed.
  • Run reports to ensure accuracy of data represented in the system.
  • Ensure internal transaction tracking spreadsheets accurately reflect relevant and complete information for each reporting period.
  • Lease administration includes the management of renewal options and communication with tenants and internal teams.
    • Ensure Landlord obligations are performed and ensure dates and rental amounts are reflected accurately in the database.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
  • Excellent computer skills which include Yardi and MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).
  • Able to identify information to clarify a situation. Seek information from appropriate sources and use skillful questioning to abstract information.
  • Ability to notice discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information.
  • Experience working effectively under pressure and able to manage job responsibilities and changing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail. Able to monitor own work product and work of others for completeness and accuracy.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the aptitude to effectively organize information and materials for use by others.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to groups both written and orally. Able to present information to large groups and/or managment teams.
  • Able to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships.
  • It is anticipated the level of experience needed to adequately perform the duties of the position is approximately 1-2 years of professional work experience, and/or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge or experience.

The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $24.19 - $31.71. You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, (dependent on date of hire) to be discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
