What you will be working on:

Accounting & Administration

  • Responsible for timely and accurate application, collection, and billing of rental income categories, including additional rent expenses, late charges, and interest.
  • Analyze assigned portfolio for outstanding balances, actively collect charges per defined Lease, and maintain accurate tenant ledger records.
  • Ensure all funds within the portfolio are processed prior to Property Accounting Month-end close deadlines.
  • Conduct regular ledger reconciliations and payment audits.
  • Serve as the point of contact for rental payments within the assigned portfolio and communicate with tenants regarding account setup and payment compliance.
  • Prepare monthly reports, including Set Rent Increases, Memo Review, and AR aging reports.
  • Update Landlord-initiated ACH for changes in rental income per defined Lease escalations.
  • Maintain accurate collection effort memos and communicate effectively with tenants for timely payment compliance and follow-up.

What is expected from you:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-2+ years of related work experience. 
  • Ability to identify information to clarify a situation, seek that information from sources, and use questioning to abstract the information.   
  • Excellent attention-to-detail skills 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to large groups and management. 
  • Excellent PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university 
  • Experience using Yardi, MRI, or related software.  

What you will get in return:

  • The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $25.76 – $33.55 ($53,580 - $69,773). You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, (dependent on date of hire) to be discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
