Position Overview:

The Vice President of People Success (Vice President, Human Resources) will be pivotal in leading our People Success team. This individual will be responsible for aligning our talent strategies with our overall business objectives, and leading our Business Partner, Learning and Development, and possibly some other center of excellence teams depending on the background and experience of the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a dynamic personality, capable of driving change and innovation within our organization. This role will also act as an internal consultant to senior leaders on all talent management, organizational development, performance management, and employee experience topics.

Above all, the VP, People Success will be an accomplished leader, providing thought leadership, driving operational excellence, fostering collaboration, and aligning people strategies with overall business goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Impart vision and guidance to primary decision-makers and be a thought leader. Act as a business partner to the executive management team in identifying opportunities and issues and will supervise solution implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop and implement people initiatives that support business objectives and drive organizational success.
  • Provide strong leadership to the People Success Partners, guiding them to effectively align talent strategies with the goals of senior leadership teams.
  • Lead the Learning and Development team in designing and implementing programs that enhance leadership development, employee skills, knowledge, and career growth opportunities.
  • Develop and analyze talent and people metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect within the organization.
  • Responsible for effective SOX and ERM oversight of processes and appropriate budget management and administration. Responsibility for both domestic and international employee compliance.
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to other key team members, such as People Operations, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Facilities, to ensure efficient and effective talent processes.
  • Maintain a positive culture, mentor direct reports, and ensure that everyone works together as a team. Lead a service-oriented organization that integrates well with all other departments in the business yet enforces best-in-class standards and disciplines.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR and implement innovative solutions to enhance the employee experience.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Ten years of progressive people and talent experience is required to gain the competencies required for this role, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Prior experience working in a global organization is required.
  • Experience working for a publicly traded company is required. 
  • Experience working in an organization located in California is required or working knowledge of California employment laws.

What you will get in return: 

The base salary for this role is in the range of $184,525 - $321,059. You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, (dependent on date of hire) to be discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total compensation package determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
