The Strategic Awareness team serves as the connecting point between Progress and its community, influencers, prospects and customers. Uniquely positioned to influence affinity and loyalty to the Progress corporate and product brands, the team is creative in generating excitement, interest, and engagement through super top-of-funnel/top-of-funnel well-coordinated strategies and tactics.
 
As an integral member of the go to market (GTM) team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to drive awareness through a variety of audience-focused marketing campaigns, strategies and tactical execution and serve as an advocate for the technology they support.
 
In this role you will:
  • Create a strategic, measurable strategic awareness plan that is aligned with the global go to market initiatives and sales strategies  
    • Responsible for overseeing initiation, execution, management and measurement of awareness GTM activities in collaboration with Demand Generation, Field, Product Marketing and Sales.  
  • Drive the success of Progress products by creating content that causes the community to re-think, and re-evaluate. Challenge traditional convention and propose new directions for the industry on behalf of Progress.
    • Collaborate with Social Media team to generate meaningful engagement through all of our owned channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitch, YouTube, etc.) 
    • Build a strong content muscle that brings significant traffic to the website and supports the journey throughout the funnel 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective advocacy strategies.  
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders to understand their perspectives and inform advocacy strategies. 
  • Build and nurture relationships with influencers and partners 
  • Become a trusted and recognized thought leader for customers, partners, and prospects, and demonstrate ability to get new practitioners to begin using Progress technologies.
  • Become a primary external voice of Progress and an in-demand resource for journalist and analyst interviews.

Your background:

  • Solid experience in technical marketing with an emphasis in owned awareness programs including social media, events, content marketing, community building and influencer relations. 
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to run multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines  
  • The ability to be flexible, adaptive to change and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment  
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently  
  • The desire to be part of a fast-paced, creative, fun team with a can-do attitude
  • Must be willing to travel to industry events to deliver presentations, support onsite marketing activities, and attend internal and customer meetings
