PRG is seeking a skilled Engineering Construction Coordinator in our Nashville market. The ideal candidate will employ advanced GIS technology and data analytics to optimize operations for our clients in telecommunications and utilities. This role demands a keen ability to manage geographic data using sophisticated tools and to develop actionable insights through spatial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Utilize GIS software such as 3GIS, ArcGIS and QGIS to analyze and interpret geographic data , identifying patterns and trends.
- Create digital maps and maintain comprehensive maps of our network for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and analyze models and calculators to forecast expansion needs and operational efficiencies.
- Create and maintain these models based on data provided by vendors to identify averages and trends.
- Develop specialized mapping applications and tools focused on our fiber network across various cities.
- Gather anRun large queries to create models for data analysis from geodatabases (GDBs).
- Work with shapefiles and ensure accurate geographic data representation.
- Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, Python, and JavaScript is essential.d integrate parcel and addressing data for specified regions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including creating pivot tables, charts, and graphs to present data clearly.
- Use these tools for performing statistical analysis and resolving related issues.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in GIS applications with a strong emphasis on operational analytics.
- Proven experience in GIS mapping and spatial data analysis using software like ArcGIS, QGIS, 3GIS and Google Earth.
- Bachelor's degree required in Geography, GIS or related field of study.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple, complex projects with precision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to decipher complex datasets into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at explaining complex information in an understandable and engaging way.
Work Environment
- The role will require walking, climbing stairs, and performing physical tasks in an office environment.
