Responsibilities
•    Research and define power electronics topologies based on new and legacy Power Integrations’ products
•    Prepare design proposals using Power Integrations’ products to meet customer requirements
•    Provide technical or design guidance to company's customers worldwide via web inquiries and live technical calls
•    Perform design reviews and troubleshooting via circuit analysis, evaluation, simulation, and computations
•    Do circuit design/layout and test customer-specific development boards that will help accelerate design wins
•    Support global marketing efforts through exhibits, trade shows and conferences
•    Research and write technical application materials for publication and presentation during conferences, industry seminars, trade magazines and data books
•    Other duties as assigned


Requirements
•    Excellent English Command
•    Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering graduates
•    With industry or academic experience in any of the following areas:

  • power converters/conversion/management
  •  inverters, resonant converters, motor applications
  • power electronics design, test, and evaluation
  • switching/switch mode power supply (SMPS)
  • use of electronic equipment like oscilloscope, AC/DC source, power meter, digital multi meter, etc.
  • control loop design, test, and evaluation
  • magnetics design for transformers, chokes, and inductor

•    Experience designing power electronics circuitry for industrial equipment or consumer devices is desirable
•    Experience or background in programming is desirable
•    Experience in using CAD tools (i.e. Oracle, Altium) is an advantage
•    Excellent written and oral communications with experience in creating design proposals, technical report writing and test plan/instructions is desirable
•    Open to shifting schedule to support Americas and Europe regions
•    Open for detailed discussions, suggestions and planning
•    Excellent team player
•    Willing to learn and be trained
