Senior Equipment Engineer
Description
The Equipment Engineer will work in the Class 100 semiconductor facility overseeing the maintenance of lab facilities and machines.
- Responsible for managing all equipment used in wafer fabrication and characterization. Including multiple process tools such as: high-vacuum deposition systems, plasma-enhanced deposition and etch systems, anneal ovens/furnaces, photo tracks and aligners/steppers, and various inspection/measurement tools.
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of software and hardware issues on all process and characterization equipment.
- Assist with the definition, selection and installation of new equipment. Perform ongoing assessment of equipment to enhance process capabilities and maintain processes, equipment hardware and to improve equipment up time.
- Responsible for management of required spare parts.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
- Some of the tasks/projects will be performed individually, while others will require close cooperation with other engineers/technicians.
- Maintenance and programming of environmental and building control/automation systems
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Candidate needs to have 8+ years related experience.
Candidate must be able to easily handle parts/components weighing up to 50lbs and be physically fit to perform all required tasks. - Hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously as well as the ability to collaborate
- Good problem solving and communication skills
- Experience with electrical, H.V.A.C., clean rooms, compressors and vacuum pumps etc.
Power Integrations is committed to building teams that drive innovation and therefore review a range of factors when determining compensation. The annual base pay range for this position is $85,000 - $123,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, qualifications and work location.
The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
