IT Support Intern – San Jose, California
Job Description
We are looking for an Intern who reports to the IT Support Manager US, who will actively support employees, and who will identify AI opportunities to leverage AI to automate/optimize support tasks and help implement identified AI improvements.
Responsibilities
• Deploy and support end user PCs, workstations, desk and mobile phones (both software and hardware level) as part of the worldwide IT support team
• Provide help to end users on supported applications: Windows Operating systems, Microsoft
Office Suite, Video Conferencing, VOIP Phones and any other IT related applications, functions and devices.
• Troubleshoot Active Directory services such as, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP
• Troubleshoot and Support MFP Printers – including end user and network/infrastructure (print servers)
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and end user computing issues both software and hardware
• Capable of using and managing Systems Management, such as: SCCM or MS Intune
• Identify areas where AI can be used to optimize IT Support activities and help implement

Requirements
• Engaged in a degree program in a computer-related field or equivalent
• Experience/knowledge in desktop support both onsite and remote
• Experience in Programming Languages
• Ability to troubleshoot TCP/IP networking issues and services
• Familiar with Microsoft products – Operating Systems, Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams etc.
• Familiar with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate and Power App.
• Knowledge in Active Directory
• Familiar with VCenter and other virtual technologies
• Knowledge in both agentic and non-agentic AI tools and agent builders (eg. Copilot Studio)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and self-driven
• Very good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience/knowledge in desktop support both onsite and remote

Power Integrations is committed to building teams that drive innovation and therefore review a range of factors when determining compensation. The hourly pay range for this internship is $32 to $34. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, qualifications and work location.
The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for this intern in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
