Compensation:
New hires for this position typically start between $84,466 and $112,621 annually, depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions. While the full pay range is provided to support pay transparency, individual compensation will vary within the range based on these factors.

What you'll do
Quality Engineer III will monitor and audit the quality of all manufactured goods at Pioneer Industries Plant 1 & 2 Aerospace, and Commercial Aerospace for Compliance to Industry and Customer Standards. The Quality Engineer will interface with every level of Manufacturing, Production, Planning and Estimating Departments in the Scheduling and Planning of Inspection Plans, CMM Programs and First Article Reporting.
What you'll bring
- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or at least 4 years Machining Manufacturing Experience with Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances Knowledge
- Knowledge of both the theory and practice of modern production principles and methods as applied to fabrication and assembly.
- Ability to handle and execute multiple projects simultaneously within the context of a large organization and set priorities while easily adapting to changing situations.
- Internal Auditor experience
- Technical Document writing experience with ability to create detailed and accurate documentation of process and procedures.
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, capable of leading complex projects with a strong sense of ownership and individual responsibility for success.
- Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, organized independent thinker.
- Ability to work with vendors, customers, and employees at many different levels and achieve results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal Skills, training and developing skills of others.
- AS9100/ ISO9001/ AS9102/ AS9103 / AS9138 and Self Verification Specification experience
- Proficient in Microsoft office suites such as outlook and excel
- CMM Programming experience with PC DMIS
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and inspection
Preferably you'll bring
- Lean Manufacturing
- Compliance Experience
- Experience with Boeing commercial and CMP (Community Manufacturing Partnership) programs
- Proficient with database management tools such as Access, SQL, & Crystal Reports
- Knowledge of machining and assembly practices, tools and fixturing.
- Background in metal fabrication and assembly.
- 6 Sigma Black Belt qualification
- PMP Certification
