Compensation:

New hires for this position typically start between $28.08 and $35.10 hourly, depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions. While the full pay range is provided to support pay transparency, individual compensation will vary within the range based on these factors.

What you'll do

Inspect aerospace and commercial CNC machined parts to verify configuration to blueprints, drawings, and/or customer specifications. Work with complex measurements and 1st article reports. Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance 
 

PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide complex first article reports
  • Inspect, test, or measure CNC machined parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as CMM, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Read blueprints, work orders, part lists, or other materials to determine specifications are being met.
  • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, holes, or feature positions, and quantities inspected
  • Able to convert data into FAI's via Net-Inspect or AS9102 Forms
  • Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications
  • Familiar with and able to operate CMM and knowledge of current software
  • Able to program simple programs from provided drawings and/or models
  • Troubleshoot process and provide general statistical data
  • Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers
  • Perform testing on materials including paint thickness,
  • Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models
  • Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Able to be a role model, coach and trainer for new associates to foster a team environment.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.

 

What you'll bring (required qualifications):

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4 years of quality assurance inspection. 
  • Knowledge of paint thickness. 
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerance skills.
  • CMM Programmer and Operator experience required
