Position Summary
The Queen’s Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist to join our dynamic Neuroscience Institute. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality neurological care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, while also contributing to the education of medical students and residents through our academic partnership with the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine.
Primary Responsibilities
Clinical and Educational Duties
  • Provide comprehensive neurology services, including new patient evaluations, consultations, and follow-up care, primarily in the ambulatory clinic setting.
  • Deliver inpatient neurology consultations and follow-up care, particularly in areas aligned with subspecialty expertise.
  • Offer outpatient neurological care via telemedicine when appropriate.
  • Provide emergency coverage for fellow neurologists as needed to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of programmatic and performance improvement initiatives to enhance neuroscience patient care.
  • Teach and supervise medical students and residents from the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine and affiliated training programs.
  • Contribute to the education of nursing staff and allied health professionals through formal and informal teaching opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited School of Medicine or valid ECFMG certification.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawai‘i.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Neurology. If board eligible, certification must be obtained within two (2) years of employment.
  • Active medical staff membership or eligibility at The Queen’s Medical Center with appropriate privileges.
  • Qualified for a faculty appointment at the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine.
Base salary begins at $309,464/year with opportunity for productivity and quality incentives.
