Birmingham, Alabama, is a city with a rich cultural past, one that combines industrial might with a key part in the Civil Rights Movement. It’s a city that is proud of its past, too, and that celebrates its origins in style. The city has a population of nearly 200,000 and is the central hub of the Greater Birmingham Region with a population of 1.1 million, making it the largest population and economic region in the state of Alabama.
