Plant Electrician

We are currently looking for a Facility Electrician to work in one of our remote fish processing facilities in Alaska.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Observe safe work practices and wear or use required PPE at all times while working.
* Perform general electrical maintenance on equipment, install new equipment.
* Trouble shoot and repair all plant electrical systems.
* Help install new circuits and trouble shoot existing.
* Help trouble shoot and repair drive motors and motor starters.
* Help install and repair product conveyance systems and drive systems.
* Run conduit and pull wire, trench as necessary.
* Facilitate continuous equipment operation with little down time.
* Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
2 years experience in electrical trade Demonstrated skill in working in a diverse work environment.
Basic computer skills sufficient to keep and update required data.
Demonstrated team skills.
Demonstrated willingness & ability to learn.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Demonstrated excellence in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive demands.
Demonstrated problem diagnosis & problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated willingness and ability to work overtime as requested.
Previous experience in the fishing industry a definite plus.
Must be able to work safely and effectively in a team environment.
Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be comfortable working at heights.
Able to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Good interaction with fellow workers.
