Roadway Engineer Intern

Purpose & Need
What You'll Do
- Understand the concepts of geometry design
- Understand the development of pay item quantities and calculations
- Understand the process for development of a project cost estimate
- Effectively research projects and assist with marketing efforts from a roadway point-of-view
- Gain proficiency in technical writing
- Gain proficiency in all design standards, manuals, and criteria
- Gain proficiency in the use of MicroStation or AutoCAD, including civil platforms (such as OpenRoads Designer, Civil3D, etc.)
- Requires moderate technical supervision of tasks by senior staff
- Complete tasks and projects within expectations of Project Manager, Supervisor or Task Lead
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University, majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 0-4 years of post-graduation experience
- Engineering Intern (EI) certificate or ability to obtain within 1 year
What You'll Bring
- Knowledge about CADD Systems
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Skill in working with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Products
