Description
Perform a variety of key supervisory functions within Learning & Development related to the operations of Pipeline Career Services, encompassing both the Pathmaker Volunteer Internship, Medical Interpreting program, and school affiliations (student externs/interns, Allied Health professionals, etc.). Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversight of Recruitment and on-boarding of Pathmakers and Medical Interpreting volunteers; Coordination with the Pathmaker Volunteer Leadership Team in carrying out daily operations of the internship, including record keeping and development of the Pathmaker intern role within the district; Establishment and maintenance of an educational program within the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards; Deployment, education, and tracking of in-person interpreter services throughout the health system; Attends and participates in the reporting of data as related to the Pathmaker interns,Volunteer Medical Interpreting Services and school affiliations (student externs/interns, Allied Health professionals, etc.); and multiple projects and priorities as needed within the scope of Pipeline Career Services. Ensure confidentiality and discretion in all matters. Abide by legal and regulatory requirements not limited to the Joint Commission, California Department of Public Health, etc. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

 

Job Requirements

 

Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Completion of Interpreter Training Program
Minimum Experience: 1 year related
Preferred Experience: 2 related in a supervisory position
Required Certification: Not Applicable
Preferred Certification: Certified Healthcare Interpreter
Required License: Valid Driver's License
Preferred License: Not Applicable
