Description
This position is dependent upon the successful acquisition and retention of grant funding; applicants should be aware that any failure to secure adequate grant funding may result in position elimination.

Under clinical supervision, provides developmental and/or behavioral screening, assessment and treatment services for children. Treatment services include specialized classes (Level 1) and one on one coaching services (Level 2), based on the needs of the child and within the Statement of Work guidelines provided by First 5 San Diego. Responds differentially to children based on the child's age, understanding of the child's developmental level/abilities/disabilities, and cultural considerations. Collaborate with families, physicians, case managers, and other members of the HDS and First 5 team to ensure smooth and successful utilization of HDS services. Exercises professional judgment for clinical decision making and prepares all documentation required to support classes and sessions provided. Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Responsible for accurate and complete input of client and family data into CMEDS system and Developmental Services electronic files. Frequent travel required travel throughout district. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in health or education related field
Preferred Education: Masters Degree in health or education related field
Minimum Experience: 0 - 6 months in related field
Preferred Experience: 3 - 5 years in related field
Bilingual - Spanish
Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Heartsaver
Preferred Certification: Not Applicable
Required License: Valid Driver's License
