Brampton North Nissan is looking to add a General Sales Manager to join our growing family.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

  • Plan and coordinate sales marketing initiatives and events.
  • Track and monitor the cost-effectiveness of advertising.
  • Analyze sales and ground-stock trends in order to maintain an efficient product inventory flow.
  • Assign and control the demonstrator fleet.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest.
  • Reach sales goals on strict timeline requirements.
  • Work in strict compliance with the requirements and regulations of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC).
  • Grow revenue and profitability in sales territory.
  • Coaches sales team to provide excellent customer service.
  • Report performance goals and achievements on a regular basis.
  • Represent The Employer in a favorable light to all accounts, press and industry representatives at all times.
  • Monitor sales trends, such as number of customers visiting the company, number of quotes prepared per Sales Consultant, units sold per Sales Consultant,  dollar sales per Sales Consultant, etc.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all Sales Department staff.
  • Ensure that all sales staff hold a current and valid OMVIC registration with the dealership.
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of training schedules and programs to ensure that all staff achieves a more than acceptable level of performance in all criteria.
  • Ensure that all sales personnel follow all The Employer policies and procedures.
  • Develop and demonstrate a positive attitude and working climate.
  • Be interested in and involved with the organization’s performance in all aspects.
  • Regularly evaluate employee performance and provide periodic feedback.
  • Work in strict compliance with the Laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada including, but not limited to, the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
  • Uphold all rules and procedures - support enforcement, including disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, provincial and local regulations that affect service operations, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), waste disposal regulations, etc.
  • Other duties as required.

What you need to succeed:

  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Experience in the retail sales of motor vehicles.
  • A minimum of three (3) years sales management experience.
  • OMVIC Certification is required.
  • Dealer CRM system experience required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to constantly changing business.
  • Ability to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient knowledge of Microsoft excel.
  • Great team player and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think quickly and multitask.
  • Comfort with computers and external communication.
  • Willingness to create and work within a fun atmosphere.
  • Comfort with a highly variable, performance-oriented pay plan.
  • Must be willing to be flexible with work schedules.

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Compensation (expected annual compensation): $140,000 - $180,000 per year (base salary plus monthly performance-based bonuses). This range includes a fixed base salary and eligibility for monthly bonuses tied to individual results and/or department performance, which may be influenced by business volumes. Actual bonus earnings vary based on performance.
