Sr. Analog Design Engineer

PRODUCT DESIGN Santa Clara, California

Description

·Design of new global shutter CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) to further improve its performance in terms of temporal noise, fixed pattern noise, non-uniformity.

·Circuit simulation using Spectre, BDA AFS. Perform DC, AC, transient, transient noise, and Monte-Carlo simulations.

·High quality sensor column readout layout design which is critical on image sensor performance.

·Analog circuit layout and post layout extraction using Calibre. Analysis of sensor performance degradations due to layout parasitic couplings.

·Image sensor array power distribution network design. Perform IR drop analysis and PSRR analysis.

·Whole chip mixed signal simulation with nanosim, AFS AMS, XA.

·Perform laboratory tests using equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, laser diodes, various light sources, etc.

· Perform image sensor debug with OmniVision’s particular sensor debug software IPT Tools. Image analysis with image processing tools such as Matlab.

Work with characterization engineers to fine tune products to improve sensor’s random noise, horizontal noise, fix pattern noise, and image shading.

·Collaborate with different functional teams to successfully deliver RD product.

·Work with software and firmware team to develop applications for new image sensors.

·Development of design automation platform.

·Thorough documentation of the work with Open Office and Microsoft Office tools.
