Field Applications Engineer - Midwestern Region

Description

As a FAE working closely with the Sales team, you are a critical partner in participating in customer meetings demonstrating OmniVision's products and supporting sales in closing deals.

Responsibilities
  • Provides technical expertise through sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Works with sales team in assessing potential application of OmniVision products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for development and implementation of customer applications and solutions
  • Provides follow-up support to sales team and customer by disseminating technical information on specific applications
  • Ensures product is functioning to specifications
  • Works closely with teams focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products
  • Participates in projects from initiation through delivery including planning and schedules
Qualifications
  • BSEE or equivalent; MSEE preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills;
  • Must be comfortable making technical presentations in front of all levels of customers
  • Minimum five year experience working in applications engineering in semiconductor industry
  • Minimum 5 year experience as a FAE
  • Systems knowledge is a huge plus
  • Practical knowledge of and interest in imaging business and handset architecture are a plus
