The Technical Records Analyst - Aviation Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Ornge’s aircraft technical records. This position is responsible for the maintenance and quality assurance of both electronic and hard copy records in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and internal operational requirements, enabling timely and reliable record updates.
The Analyst ensures the precise tracking of maintenance activities and airworthiness requirements within the organization’s systems, supporting safe and efficient operations. They collaborate closely with Technical Services Engineering to ensure all maintenance is scheduled and executed within the constraints of the approved Maintenance Schedule Approval (MSA) and established program schedules.
Through strong attention to detail and a commitment to regulatory compliance, the Technical Records Analyst helps maintain operational readiness and supports the safe delivery of Ornge’s critical aviation services.
Key Accountabilities:
Quality Control and Record Keeping of Maintenance Logs:
- Performs Quality Control Checks and a detailed review of all incoming maintenance log pages, work packages, and component replacements received from Ornge work centers.
- Reviews all work packages for compliance and recording precision and accuracy.
- Reviews and validates all task compliance, component replacement, and defect for recording for required precision and accuracy.
- Reviews and amends Company computerized record.
- Updates hard copy aircraft and component records as required.
- Recommends and subsequently actions process changes to resolve repetitive quality issues.
Quality Control and Record Keeping of Certification Documents:
- Performs Quality Control Checks and a detailed review of certification documents and maintenance records for received repairable, rotable, and life limited parts (regular shipments or drop-shipments) within three (3) days of the goods receipt.
- Reviews and updates the computerized maintenance program for all parts received:

▪ Compliance
▪ Configuration
- Produces component reports for all incoming parts.
- Reports any identified issues with the certification or compliance to the management team and the vendor.
- Recommends and subsequently actions process changes to resolve repetitive quality issues.
- Develops and maintains relations with vendors with regards to record keeping.
Quality Control and Record Keeping of Flight Logs:
- Carries out quality control checks on all flight log records in the absence of the technical Records Clerk.
- Communicates with maintenance and flight crew to ensure records are accurate and corrected as required.
- Reports quality issues to the appropriate departments.
- Recommends and subsequently actions process changes to resolve repetitive quality issues.
Maintenance Support:
- Provides technical support for the computerized maintenance program to the font line mechanics and maintenance planning department as required.
Reporting:
- Provides reporting for:
- Repairs and modifications
- Engine trend monitoring data for maintenance planning
- Compass monitoring data for maintenance planning
- Monthly and annual Transport Canada requirements o Monthly and annual vendor reports
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience with:
- Technical record handling.
- Quality assurance /quality control.
- Computer assisted maintenance software, electronic filing software, data extraction and report writing.
- Transport Canada Regulations pertaining to record keeping and documents control.
