We are looking for a System Analyst – SharePoint & Power Platform to help evolve and support a mature, production Microsoft 365 environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a stable platform with meaningful, real‑world impact, where the focus is on automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with business partners to understand how work is done today, gather and clarify business requirements, and design and deliver practical, high‑quality solutions using SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure integration technologies.
This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining solutions on behalf of the business, while applying well‑defined standards, patterns, governance, and best practices to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and sustainable.
The specialist plays a key role in identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve efficiency, and modernize existing solutions, translating operational needs into effective technical designs, and delivering them end‑to‑end.
What You will Be Working On
Most of the work focuses on small to medium enhancements, automation, and platform maintenance, including:
- Designing, building, and enhancing Power Apps and Power Automate flows.
- Maintaining and improving SharePoint Online sites and environments.
- Supporting and optimizing existing solutions to ensure they are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
- Stepping in to design more complex solutions when requirements exceed simple self‑service scenarios.
Key Accountabilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert for SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement low‑code applications, workflows, and automation.
- Maintain and optimize SharePoint Online and Power Platform environments.
- Support integrations with internal and external systems using Azure integration tools.
- Establish and promote best practices, standards, and governance.
- Produce clear, concise technical documentation and solution designs.
- Enable and guide business users in self‑service capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5–6 years of progressive experience working with SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform in an enterprise or production environment.
- Experience managing and developing SharePoint environments, both on premises and SharePoint Online.
- Hands on experience designing and implementing automation workflows using Power Automate.
- Experience creating and maintaining low code business applications using Power Apps.
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with external systems and databases using connectors and APIs.
- Demonstrated experience applying data validation, security, and access controls within SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
- Experience supporting, enhancing, and optimizing solutions in a stable, production environment.
- Familiarity with Azure integration technologies, including APIs, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, security, and best practices.
- Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong problem solving and solution design mindset, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Excellent documentation and technical writing skills, including solution designs and standards.
- Ability to enable and support business self service through guardrails, patterns, and coaching.
- Assets: Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments, Microsoft Certified Power Platform Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert.
