Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, prepares visual presentations (i.e. digital campaigns, print ads, direct mail, signage, brochures, etc.) by designing art and copy layouts using graphic design software.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver collateral through various channels which includes website and digital, as well as designing static collateral for print.
- Follow and understand brand guidelines and be responsible for the quality and accuracy of all collateral.
- Develop creative from scratch and produce campaigns that are on brand and used across all platforms utilizing digital, print and animation.
- Select colors, fonts, photos, and other design elements that help effectively communicate campaign goals.
- Ensure creative designs are formatted correctly for all mediums used, including color for print, bleed, layout, sizing, etc.
- Thinking creatively and contributing new ideas and concepts to advertising campaigns.
- Ensure timely coordination and completion of projects; must be deadline driven.
- Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of graphic files.
- Work with the Marketing Team to bring ideas to life and make sure messaging is on point
- Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of materials, discussing them with clients and/or supervisors and making necessary changes.
- Present finalized ideas, concepts, and design to the Marketing Team for review and approval.
- Resize artwork for various media created internally and by agency of record.
- Passionate about design and staying current with industry trends.
- Work with external vendors producing all print collateral to gather required information for submission.
- As directed by the Director of Marketing, work directly with the internal team to facilitate the production of promotional pieces and campaign materials.
- Prepare advertisements for publications including file finalizing, packaging, and transferring files to team and agency.
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment/software.
- Greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
- Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
- Assist with promotional drawings, special events, and giveaways on the casino floor and outside events such as parades or other community events as needed
- Complete all required training satisfactorily.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Work at other properties as needed.
- Perform all other duties assigned within the scope of work.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Advertising with one (1) year of graphic design experience, or an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design or Advertising with two (2) years of graphic design experience.
- Must be experienced in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, After Affects and Photoshop.
- Strong aesthetic and typography skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word and Excel is required.
- Must possess the ability to establish priorities, work independently, handle and resolve problems.
- Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke-filled environment.
- Must be flexible with shifts and days off with ability to work weekends, holidays, special events, etc., as needed.
- Local in-town and out-of-town travel may be required.
- You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
