Job Summary: Provide exceptional service in an upscale restaurant according to established sequence of service and standards. Creates a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow established fine dining etiquette, which includes proper table settings and serving techniques.
- Have a deep understanding of the menu, suggest dinner courses, explain food preparation if asked, recommend food and wine pairings, ensure our guests feel welcomed and attended to throughout their meal, to enhance the dining experience.
- Accommodate guests time restrictions and anticipate our guests’ needs and wants, by giving fast and prompt service.
- Notify management when guests are celebrating special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
- Apprise management by informing them of guest complaints.
- Inspect restaurant and ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety, standards and liquor regulations.
- Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Attend all meetings as required.
- Complete all required training satisfactorily.
- Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope of work.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have one (1) year of experience in fine dining establishment or medium volume food or banquet service, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the incumbent with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job.
- Must provide proof of current TIPS Certification or complete TIPS training and certification within thirty (30) days of employment and must keep TIPS Certification current.
- Must demonstrate a high level of scheduling flexibility consistent with the demands of the hospitality and gaming industry. This position requires availability for a variety of shifts, with a strong emphasis on weekends, holidays, and evening shifts. As guest volume and business needs fluctuate, the ability to adapt to a non-traditional work schedule is essential to support a high-quality, consistent guest experience.
- This position is inherently physical, demanding the ability to stand and walk continuously with infrequent and brief rest periods, and ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) lbs.
- Must read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Work environment may include exposure to smoke and loud, continuous noise levels.
- You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance with the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
