Job Summary: The Cage Cashier is responsible for distributing money to gaming customers by redeeming coins and gaming vouchers, as well as cashing checks and providing cash advances on credit/debit cards, while providing fast and courteous service to each customer.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greets all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
- Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
- Maintains knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
- Opens, maintains, safeguards and closes a bank during an assigned shift.
- Makes change for customers in accordance with Casino Cage Policy.
- Exchanges customer chips and gaming vouchers for cash in accordance with cage policy.
- Cashes checks and provides cash advances on credit/debit cards in accordance with cage policy.
- Adheres to appropriate Tribal, federal, state and local laws and Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) regulations as applicable.
- Adheres to Cage policy and procedures
- Attends all meetings as required.
- Completes all required training satisfactorily.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Works at other properties as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned, within the scope of the position.
System Access: Check Cashing Vendor, Slot Accounting System, Key Tracking System, Synkros, Kiosk Systems

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must be flexible with shifts and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events, etc., as needed.
- May be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if the minimum qualifications of the position can be met.
- Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment is required.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
