About the role: 
 
Our client is a product strategy, design, and development agency that works side-by-side with ambitious companies, brands, and founders to execute their holistic approach to strategy, design, and engineering. 
 
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified AWS Cloud Engineer to join a high-impact team tasked with rearchitecting a global-scale data platform for a leading consulting firm. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud engineering, data infrastructure, and platform modernization within a complex, enterprise-grade environment. 
 
 
Some of the main responsibilities for this role: 
 
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines in Databricks, supporting ingestion, processing, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data. 
  • Contribution to architecture and approach discussions 
  • Recommendation on tooling and approach 
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and platform teams to rearchitect and modernize an enterprise data platform on AWS. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).  
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support modern data workflows and platform deployments. 
  • Support containerization strategies (e.g., ECS, EKS, Docker) and manage orchestration for scalable microservices. 
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices, cost optimization strategies, and governance standards. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, automate recurring tasks, and improve observability using modern monitoring and logging tools. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including security, operations, and development teams 
     
     
      
Job Skills/Requirements 
- +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills 
- AWS Certification required: either AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer. 
- 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering or platform engineering, with a strong emphasis on AWS environments. 
- Deep understanding of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation/Terraform, IAM, VPC, etc.) 
- Hands-on experience with data platform components (e.g., data lakes, ETL pipelines, streaming data services, Snowflake, Redshift, Glue, etc.) is highly desirable 
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar) 
- Coding experience with JavaScript or Python 
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and ECS 
- Proven ability to work in agile environments and contribute to enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.
