Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and networking concepts, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support our cloud infrastructure.
 


What you'll do:
 
  • Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of Microsoft Azure virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
  • Monitor and optimize Azure resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Azure-related issues.
  • Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, security groups, and VPNs.
  • Implement and maintain Azure security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC) and network security groups (NSGs).
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell or Azure CLI scripts to automate routine tasks and deployments.
  • Implement and manage Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery solutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Azure resources into the existing infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Azure configurations, processes, and procedures.

About you: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Familiarity with Azure virtual machines, storage, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Basic scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
  • Knowledge of Azure security best practices.
  • Azure certification(s) (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104) a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You should be able to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • A strong ability to analyse and troubleshoot technical issues is crucial. You should be able to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • The cloud landscape is continually evolving, you should be adaptable and willing to learn and implement new technologies and best practices.
  • You'll often work as part of a team, so being a team player and sharing knowledge and insights is vital to the role's success.
  • Effective time management is necessary to balance multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Precision is essential in configuring and managing Azure resources to maintain security and performance.
