Northwest Center is looking for a Customer Service – Administrative Assistant to join our legendary Big Blue Truck Team! This position is a hybrid of primary customer service functions with ownership of consistent administrative functions, and coordination of our fleet. This role works within a dynamic team providing a high-level customer experience both internally and externally.

In 1967, just two years after our founding, Northwest Center entered into a partnership with Value Village. We collect clothing and household donations with The Big Blue Truck and The Blue Bin. Value Village buys that merchandise to sell in its stores, and the revenue funds our education and employment programs. The innovative social business model was decades ahead of its time. Today, the partnership is stronger than ever, collecting state-wide.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm
Location: SeaTac (Primary) and Renton
Wage Range: $21 - $23 per hour

Administrative Functions:
- Maintain accurate logs and records of driver activities, the fleet, and data specific to materials collected from the donation bins
- Produce a wide range of reports, informational sheets, and correspondence: accuracy and attention to detail are essential
- Assist in entering raw data into various department reports
- Prepare and update operational reports
- Support Logistics involving Fleets/Drivers
- Order and maintain departments office, warehouse, janitorial supplies
- Maintain Communication board i.e. Anniversary, Newsletter, and Meeting Notes
- Responsible for all data entry and management from all points of the operations
- Prepare departments Dashboard reports
- Oversee operations and scheduling of maintenance for office equipment such as copiers
- Cross train on all support roles including call center and dispatch roles as needed
Customer Service duties:
- Providing 5-star customer service to all employees, clients, customers, visitors, or vendors over the phone or via email
- Utilizing professional communication over the phone and via email
- Keep detailed record of call metrics according to standard operating procedure
- Responding to voicemails and emails in a timely manner
- Submit service requests in accordance with divisional standards
- Utilize tools and technology appropriately including software, CRMs, databases, scripts, etc.
- Remain knowledgeable of all the Northwest Center services and promote them to incoming callers
- Supporting all BBT bin efforts from calling potential host, following up on leads, and entering data in the thrift database
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in a call center environment preferred
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and take initiative
