Description

Northwest Center is looking for a Human Resources Assistant with great attention to detail, solid computer skills, and a knack for working with people. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to get started in Human Resources or to grow their existing skillset, as they will be responsible for a variety of different tasks while driving HR excellence across multiple divisions.


Salary:
 $19 - $20 per hour DOE

Location: Renton, WA

Essential Functions:

  • Process all employee wage and status changes, with direction from leadership
  • Process new-hire onboarding.
  • Enter data and documentation into HRIS while Maintaining confidentiality of all employee information and issues
  • Manage and approve employee timecards
  • Interact positively and effectively with employees and handle customer service issues efficiently
  • Assist in processing in-coming job applicants, distributing information to applicants, ensuring that appropriate forms are completed and distributed to appropriate persons
  • Occasional trips to Bellingham, including overnight
  • Support various HR initiatives as assigned
  • Other administrative duties and/or special projects as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred
  • Experience working with HRIS (Paycom) preferred
  • One (1) year experience in a human resources function preferred
  • One (1) year experience in an administrative role with a customer service focus (both internal and external)
  • Experience in a role with a high level of confidentiality - able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Advanced PC skills
  • Document editing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Able to work both alone and with a team
