Job Title: Fan Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and creative Fan Design Engineer who thrives on innovation and efficiency. This role will be pivotal in conceptualizing, designing, and developing new fan technologies that not only meet functional requirements but also set new benchmarks in air movement excellence and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • The retained candidate will lead and participate in design projects for the development & application of new air moving technologies including but not limited to parameters such as efficiency, acoustics and vibration as well as elements supporting these core items within a custom environment.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into innovative design solutions.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation within the design team, constantly exploring new ideas and approaches to enhance product performance and user experience.
  • Utilize technical expertise and knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to optimize product design for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct detailed design reviews and analyses to ensure designs meet technical, performance, and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in fan design and development processes.
  • Occasional travel may be required within North America (up to 10%)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • 10+ years proven experience in fan design and development.
  • Experience with aerodynamic design elements
  • Experience with acoustical theories & applications
  • High technical proficiency in commercial HVAC systems & industry landscape
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes surrounding fan design
  • AMCA participation an asset
  • Proficiency in CFD software is an asset
  • Conceptual Knowledge of innovative processes and project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex design challenges effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.
