Position Summary: HVAC Design Technician II (Designer) will support engineering in the preparation of manufacturing and electrical drawings in accordance with company computer-assisted design (CAD) procedures. The HVAC Designer provides three dimensional models for proof of fit, form, and function, detailed drawings of parts, assemblies, and wiring diagrams for manufacturing. Designer also creates and revises bills of material in the company SAP system, provides PDFs of drawings and specification sheets, and maintains our procedures of the electronic filing system. Designer candidate must have a bias for action, an entrepreneurial spirit and focus on customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the HVAC Design Engineers and Manufacturing to achieve project goals and milestones
- Generate 3D models for new and existing equipment and tubes
- Prepare detailed drawings of parts, assemblies, and wiring diagrams
- Complete data entry of new material, revisions and bills of material into company’s Systems Applications and Products program
- Review and analyze design specifications, sketches, drawings, and data
- Gather and organize information to be used for developing designs and drawings
- Collaborate with design engineers to interpret drawing markups and implement drawing revisions provided
- Support the implementation of American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

Education and Skill Set:
- Associate’s degree in CAD technology
- Up to three (3) or more years of industry related experience, including 3D drawing preferred
- SolidWorks experience preferred
- Basic mathematics
- MS Office software package

- Work in a team environment, including collaboration across multiple departments
