Position Summary:
As a Staff Accountant at NeoGenomics, you will play an integral part in supporting growth in the Company by ensuring accurate accounting and analysis. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with investigating variance analysis
  • Effectively gather information needed from operational departments in a timely manner
  • Assist the Accounting Manager on special projects as needed
  • Review the accuracy of GL accounts assigned to requested purchase orders
  • Identify areas of efficiencies to improve current process and procedures
  • Prepare external auditor’s interim and annual audit requests

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 1+ years accounting or relevant experience
  • ERP experience (Oracle preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build relationships with others within and outside the accounting team.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient with Microsoft Excel
