NeoGenomics is looking for a Sample Management/Data Entry Lead Administrator (Lead Project Support Administrator) based out of our UK site who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

This opening covers at Tuesday-Saturday shift.

Position Summary:

The Project Support Lead works under little or no supervision to support Pharma Services projects and demonstrates proficiency in all Core Responsibilities of Pharma Administrator Levels I and II; including but not limited to the following duties, accessioning specimens received, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, participating in sample data management including performance of quality control checks of data entries, providing reports to study sponsors, transferring data, shipping samples and archiving samples and documentation. Additionally, this position will support the supervisor by providing employee training, assisting the supervisor to prepare daily/weekly work assignments, develop, monitor department metrics, as well as mentoring team members.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with multiple Project Managers to quickly address project needs
  • Receives and sorts specimens for testing
  • Reviews documentation and samples for missing information, works closely with the cognizant Project Manager to obtain missing information in a timely manner
  • Reports problem holds and provides resolution in a timely manner
  • Accessions all cases received for testing, including data entry of all pertinent information into the LabVantage Laboratory Information System (LIS) as well as Neo Link
  • Timely and accurately enters data into the LIS, label samples, generates specimen travel documents, and forwards respective samples to personnel/departments
  • Assembles case paperwork & files, including pre-analytic documentation and labels
  • Performs entry of add-on testing and coordinates split specimens
  • Sends out specimens to appropriate reference laboratories by coordinating the shipment process, maintaining client communication, and generating necessary logs
  • Performs quality control checks of samples and data entries as required
  • Attends department meetings and company in-service training to enhance knowledge on testing and systems as well as recommends and implements project improvements within the department
  • Works effectively with other departments to resolve and resolve problems
  • Assists with employee training as required on company and laboratory processes & policies and serves as a mentor

Requirements:

  • Degree level 
  • 3+ years of Accessioning or similar experience
  • Proficient with MS Office programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards
  • Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual.
  • Demonstrates desired level of competence in job functions
  • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and solid skills in special handling of cases
