NeoGenomics is looking for a Senior Director of BioPharma Sales & Business Development (Senior Director of Business Development, BioPharma Data Solutions) who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

Position Summary:

The Sr Director of BD will be responsible for achieving new bookings and meeting revenue targets through strategic biopharma accounts and relationships. They are also responsible for assisting other BDs with training, client meetings/interactions and strategy to help others contribute towards divisional goals. This is both a closer and a coaching role.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Meet/exceed quarterly revenue and bookings goals within assigned accounts 
  • Become an expert in the life science partner’s approved therapies, pipeline and portfolio to proactively identify all opportunities to support with biomarker driven real world data
  • Build strategic relationships with existing and current partners and act as a voice of the customer to continually contribute ideas and feedback
  • Ability to train, teach and educate biopharma sales team on Informatics products and services, as well as specialized clinical knowledge transfer on clinical test menu, biomarkers, tumor type, disease state and HCP behavior.
  • Stay informed on pharmaceutical industry, regulatory environment, emerging policy developments and client priorities
  • Aggressively prospect life sciences and biotech customers
  • Manage entire sales process – lead through opportunity to proposal and execution
  • Travel: 20% field sales, regional and national conferences. Quarterly in person strategic meetings at HQ.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or MSc preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant Sales in Life Sciences sector (Pharma /Biotech/Lab)
  • Strong clinical background in oncology and/or pathology
  • Top sales performance that consistently meets or exceeds quotas
  • Proven success navigating and closing business with complex enterprise organizations in Pharma/Life science
  • Deep relationships with pharmaceutical stakeholders in different divisions
  • Deep knowledge of genomics, diagnostics, data, and/or the drug development life cycle including translational, R&D, medical and commercialization
  • Innovative and relentless sales approach with adaptability to navigate customers needs to create bespoke and value add solutions for clients.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex pharma organizations with repeatable success
  • Earns respects and builds key stakeholder relationships with energetic and passionate approach to work and life
  • Team-oriented, problem-solving mindset that is willing to support the team, and deliver enterprise goals through collaboration
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues and opportunities and identify the right internal and external stakeholders to solve

Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $176,832 - $305,036 annually, plus commission

In all instances, the salary paid will satisfy minimum salary laws.
