Position Summary: 

The Director, Inside Sales is a remote or office-based leadership role reporting directly to the VP of Oncology Sales. The Director, Inside Sales is responsible for leading and developing a high performing inside sales organization that drives growth across NeoGenomics' commercial portfolio by engaging current and prospective customers. This role oversees a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management to ensure achievement of revenue, customer acquisition, and retention objectives.

The Director, Inside Sales partners closely with Commercial leadership, regional sales leaders, Marketing, and other key stakeholders to align inside sales efforts with organizational growth strategies. This role is responsible for fostering strong collaboration between inside and field sales teams, building trusted customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring consistent execution of commercial initiatives through outbound prospecting, lead generation, customer engagement, trade show participation, and targeted campaigns.

The Director, Inside Sales monitors key performance metrics, analyzes sales effectiveness, provides actionable insights to leadership, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to maximize team productivity and commercial results.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of ISRs, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure individual and team success
  • Communicate, manage, and motivate team to achieve their sales targets and goals, ensuring KPIs are met
  • Provide training to sales team to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Work with regional leadership to ensure Clinical Services sales team collaboration
  • Monitor sales performance on a continual basis and maintain reporting to senior leadership and internal partners
  • Alignment of sales strategy and execution of strategy, including developing and implementing territory management and planning
  • Manage selling of NeoGenomics’ products, develop new accounts, and/or proactively expand existing accounts
  • Engage with customers to support continued ordering and usage, and identify growth opportunities
  • Support corporate objectives and highlight the delivery of key selling messages and provide a high-level of service for customers
  • Provide account management, order facilitation, and sales activities for existing Tier D customers
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of company products and services to align customer and patient needs to NeoGenomics’ products
  • Analyze targeted accounts and develop recommendations to acquire their business through information collection, marketing initiatives, sales call cycle, etc.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or the Life Sciences 
  • A minimum of ten years of sales experience (including inside sales specific experience) and at least five years of sales management experience 
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Skilled at persuasive techniques and negotiation
  • Strong closing skills and business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales position preferred
  • Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of clinical and/or laboratory market environment and products
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Proficient with MS Office programs
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual 
  • Valid driver’s license for state of residence required 

    Travel: Ability to travel as required by role (up to 25% of the time). Some overnight travel may be required.

    Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $135,960 - $234,531

    In all instances, the salary paid will satisfy minimum salary laws.
