Position Summary:

As a Supervisor, Inventory Management you are responsible for the accuracy of direct material inventory at assigned locations. You will plan inventory levels to maximize efficiencies and incorporate best supply chain practices and minimize inventory loss. Additionally, you will hire, train and mentor inventory staff to ensure they follow safety protocols and use systems appropriately.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises inventory warehouse and staff, assures receiving/order fulfillment processes are performed per procedure and expectations
  • Collaborates with QA to assure incoming inspection process is performed for applicable materials in a timely manner.
  • Maintain storage temperature equipment in compliance to guidelines, monitor temperature continuously and address excursions as needed per QA Review Issue process.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment in compliance with Environmental Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Establish Inventory ID’s in ERP systems (Oracle), obsolete, inactivate as needed.
  • Review min/man level per predefined frequency or as needed.
  • Collaborates with Operations, Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) and others as needed to analyze data, determine appropriate inventory levels and anticipate future supply needs.
  • Replenish inventory stock to meet min/max levels, works with Purchasing to assure on time deliveries.
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics while minimizing risk and prevent supply disruptions.
  • Coordinates/executes floor counts for assigned locations, collaborates with IT & Accounting to assure lab floor inventory is updated monthly.
  • Coordinates/executes both cycle and full inventory counts for assigned locations, address and resolve discrepancies, report out findings and financial impact.
  • Monitor material expiration dates to prevent scrap, identify root causes and resolve, publish finding and financial impact.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating procedures for Warehouses and Inventory processes.
  • Analyze metrics to determine continuous process improvement for overall Inventory Management program.
  • Hire, train and provide development opportunities for staff
  • Participate in projects as needed.

Requirements:

Associates degree in business or related field, a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in an inventory/Warehouse related role.
