NeoGenomics is looking for a Project Support Administrator based at our lab in Cambridge, UK who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. 

Shift time: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm

Position Summary: 

The Project Support Administrator will support Pharma Services projects including but not limited to the following duties:  Accessioning specimens received, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, participating in sample data management including performance of quality control checks of data entries, providing reports to study sponsors, transferring data, shipping samples and archiving samples and documentation. 

This is the Early level role in the Project Support job category. Employees in this position perform a full range of Project Support duties across all modalities. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Works closely with multiple Project Managers to quickly address project needs
  • Receives and sorts specimens for testing
  • Reviews documentation and samples for missing information, works closely with the cognizant Project Manager to obtain missing information in a timely manner
  • Accessions all cases received for testing, including data entry of all pertinent information into the LabVantage Laboratory Information System (LIS)
  • Timely and accurately enters data into the LIS, label samples and creates work folders, generates specimen travel documents, and forwards respective samples to personnel/departments
  • Assembles case paperwork & files, including pre-analytic documentation and labels
  • Performs entry of add-on testing and coordinates split specimens
  • Sends out specimens to appropriate reference laboratories by coordinating the shipment process, maintaining client communication, and generating necessary logs
  • Maintains an immaculate work area; quickly files data and samples in the correct location for ease of finding and retrieval.
  • Works effectively with other departments to resolve and troubleshoot problems

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) or more years’ experience in Accessioning or similar experience
  • Proficient with MS Office programs
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a routine basis required
