Position Summary: 

The Commercial Operations Specialist will be assigned to work with Strategic Account Directors, Pharma Finance Operations, Commercial Operations, Project Management and the VP Commercial, Pharma Services.  The Commercial Operations Specialist will be responsible for support of the pharma sales organization to develop/complete necessary automation, implementation of best practices for proposals, workflows, etc. and support the sales team with RFP’s and any necessary special projects/activities as needed. 

This role will be a Cambridge, UK -based position.  

  

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Work with sales leadership to develop organizational goals.
  • Propose and independently implement solutions to the sales process, involving key stakeholders at important milestones.
  • Work with the Business Development Team and Project Managers to generate change orders and to ensure accurate data alignment into the Salesforce CRM system.
  • Collaborates effectively with Sales, Project Management, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance to ensure contracts align with Company standards and are within guardrails set by Leadership.
  • Review and identify standard contract terms for consistency and accuracy.
  • Understands internal information technology systems including deep understanding of salesforce.com and is able to map workflows and best practices to support the sales operation.
  • Provide analyses of sales team performance to drive Divisional growth.
  • Proactively partners with Operations to have a firm grasp of our processes, test menu, etc. to confirm appropriate pricing/discount offerings, escalating where necessary.
  • Ensures contracts coincide with current budget tool as approved by President Advanced Diagnostic/Finance and/or client specific rate cards.
  • Utilize current tools within Neo to ensure change orders/amendments are created accurately.
  • Recognizes and rapidly responds to changes in internal/external environment; stimulates change and champions new initiatives.
  • Complete expedited project requests and prioritize based on business needs, may be required to work beyond normal business hours,
  • Direct the timely and consistent implementation of company initiatives.
  • Provide back up support to Sales Operations Manager

Education: 

College Degree / Bachelor’s in Life Science, Biology or business-related field required 

  

Experience: 

  • A minimum of five (5) years in corporate environment, preferably healthcare with well-rounded understanding of contracting and laboratory processes
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing or administering CRM (preferably Salesforce)

  

Qualification Requirements: 

  • Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Experience with system implementation and upgrading
  • Multi-location and international background
