NeoGenomics is looking for a Flow Cytometry Scientist to join our Advanced Diagnostics team, onsite, in Aliso, Viejo, CA who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

Position Summary:
 
You will be responsible for conducting Flow Cytometry experiments/processes leading to the successful completion of client projects and company projects including the development of high value, proprietary research or diagnostic products, new methods and technology development.
 
As a Scientist you will provide accurate and pertinent scientific data according to agreed methods, procedures, and techniques within the established project schedules. The Scientist may also serve as the Project Manager and/or Supervisor for assigned projects or R&D initiatives, supervise project results, lead the sample and data collection process, data monitoring, and all associated project manager tasks.
 
Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision designs and executes applications within the modality areas.
  • Consistently and independently performs the more sophisticated level of procedures and projects.
  • Provides technical guidance, mentors and advises laboratory technologists and associates in performing project experiments.
  • Represents the department in a diverse range of settings, including with other departments, clients, audits, vendors, conferences.
  • Performs the literature review, assists with technical design of new project/product developments.
  • Leads project design and feasibility studies.
  • Analyzes and presents data to management team.
  • Provides support to research collaborations, clinical trials and other department projects.
  • Prepares high quality technical reports (including validation, verification, final project) and documentation including posters/papers, client presentations and technical content for marketing materials.
Experience, Educations and Qualifications
  • B.S or Masters in a life, physical or computer science with related experience. Ph.D. in a life, physical or computer science preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience with a B.S. degree or M.S./M.A. with 6+ years of experience or Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience required: Assay development and Assay Validation.
  • Preferred experience: New Product Development, Production, and Protocol writing, Interdepartmental communications
  • Ability to prepare samples, analyze and interpret data, prepare reports such as summary tables, and perform sample analysis.
  • Testing / Technologies highly preferred: Flow Cytometry.
  • Experience in at least one of the following platforms: Beckman Coulter Navios, BD Fortessa, Cytek Aurora and/or FCS Express also a plus

Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $91,733.00 to $158,239.00 Annually Plus Bouns
